The Northeast Pre-Academy League, with U-14 and U-15 boys' divisions, is geared towards preparing teams for the U.S. Soccer Development Academy at the U-16 and U-18 age groups.
For the 2009-10 season - the league's second season - the Northeast Pre-Academy League will consist of 17 member clubs in seven states. All clubs will field a team in the U-14 age group, while nine clubs will also field a team in the U-15 age group.

*As the league's emphasis is on player development, teams will not participate in a season-ending playoff, and the champion will be determined based on cumulative points at the end of the regular season.
